Case also contains spare strings and resin etc. The fiddle belonged to Michael 'Musical' Hall of Harewalls, West Woodburn, farmer (donor's, wife's stepfather), who took it when droving sheep to Hawick etc. in the 1920s and 1930s and had musical evenings at the farms where they stopped overnight.
