(Date unspecified) The North Tyne Otter Hounds continued to meet at the Fox and Hounds at West Woodburn well into the 1970s, although it was said that in the final 25 years, they had killed only one otter ? and that was by accident. The otter hunters carried long poles to winkle otters out of their hotts.
