Barrasford sanatorium was completed and ?ready for the reception of patients? by the Newcastle and Northumberland branch of the National Association for the Prevention of Consumption and other forms of Tuberculosis. Fund raising continued to find the outstanding ?2,500 towards the ?20,000 total cost.
