Application for aerial ropeway from Barcombe Colliery to Bardon Mill station was proposed. The owners of the Henshaw and Barcombe Colliery Company appealed to the Railway and Canal Commission for permission to build an aerial ropeway from the colliery to Bardon Mill station, where sidings, offices and other facilities were also required. They feared the colliery would have to close unless landowner Sir Hugh Blackett agreed to the scheme. Subsequently approved. Cf. 18/12/1926, 15/01/1927, 26/02/1927.
