Much as we love dogs, we’re unable to let them inside the Heritage Centre. But they can lap up some Northumbrian sunshine and a bowl of fresh spring water outside while you look around. (Guide dogs are allowed inside.) There’s seating on the old station platform and garden area outside Carriages Tea Room where you and your dog can dine al fresco.
